Tango Contemporary Cafe is the creation of owner/executive chef Goran Streng. A native of Finland, he thought that cooking would be a good way to see the world. And travel the world he did. He served in several distinguished kitchens around the world like the Finnish embassy kitchen in Yugoslavia, the legendary Raffles Hotel in Singapore, and many others. Chef Streng came to Hawaii in 1984 and after serving in several restaurants on the Islands he started Tango. Tango features asian flavors, local ingredients, a Swedish twist, and contemporary comfort food.

Someone else decided to go healthy and they ordered the museli. We didn't expect it to be a BIG bowl of museli. The fruits and nuts add texture and flavor to the dish. Reminds me of oatmeal.
The smoked salmon and crab hash benedict. I was torn between the two and the waitress suggested to get one of each. I was surprised the kitchen obliged and prepared one salmon and one crab hash benedict. I preferred the smoked salmon, but the crab hash wasn't too far behind. The eggs were cooked just right, though I wished the portions were a little bigger.
To wash that down, a cup of Kona coffee. I wanted to try dinner at here, but didn't have enough time. Maybe on the next trip. There are a few unfavorable reviews on Yelp, but I think that has more to do with the service and not the food. We didn't have any issues with the food or the service on this trip, so this is a place I can recommend.
